In reply to Support for someone impacted by Rejection Sensitivity. Just for the record: I have AuDHD (both diagnosed), the rejection sensitive dysphoria descriptions are *absolutely* familiar for me, and idk if it rises to full-blown social anxiety but I definitely have issues in social situations. I agree with everyone else that this is an abusive relationship.

I believe it’s colloquially called a “jiffy knee.” Be forewarned (not sure if this is unique to the jiffy knee or universal), your LITERAL ENTIRE LEG, from within an inch or two of your crotch to almost the ankle, will be purple!

The main character finds meaning in life by saving Earth and Eridani through science and cooperation with an alien whose environment is toxic to Earth life and vice versa, and living out the rest of his days in a terraformed bubble another planet.

I think some (not all) people who face histories of abuse inflicted on them, mental illness, etc. come out of those things feeling very powerless, reactive, and scared. I’d do that in addition to the mac and cheese and cole slaw. If you are certain you are going to have a significant vegetarian population, maybe bake up some veggie burgers for those buns so that they can also have a sandwich?
